The debate continues

Gandhi Jayanti....i am sure even Gandhiji must have never dreamt that there would be so much debate regarding this day.

The whole day today only 2 things were flashing on the new channels...
"Should we have national holiday on 2 Oct"
"Should govt impose Dry day on 2 Oct"

Its a real funny argument isn't?I mean instead of debating on such pity issue it would have been better if more imp things are given a thought for.

One point that i really liked was "Gandhi was a person who would have never said that a holiday should be declared on this day"...
More over what significance do we actually give to this day...just putting a garland on Gandhiji's status and enjoying the rest of the day doing the usual stuff does it really make justice to such a personality don't think so...

Dry day what is the reason behind this thing?people who want to drink will drink any how...i don't need to give how the ways they get their hands laid on the hard drinks on dry day....iam sure at least some of you guys must have seen it..

what is your say..dry day yes or no??? holiday yes or no??

If we think as the common-stressed-man, we wud enjoy another holiday. Think as a patriot, we may suggest something that wud indulge in sacrificing-something-the-country which am sure will give politicians an awesome excuse to come into limelight.

As far as Dry-days are considered, that is a bullshit-idea in a country like India.

So let there be a holiday on this day and let the media blabber sick things... atleast this will keep Gandhiji and his values alive for years to come.

HMMMM..
bhai.. first of all jyada posts likna, nahi to hum bohot pareshan ho jate hey.
holiday, or no holiday?
I say no holiday..
why should you get holiday?to laze around, watch tv, eat out and insult the gandhian ideology?
in fact, every work place/instituion should get thier employees do some community service, could be as simple as
blood donation, public awarness, fund raising for charity,or even doing a quick do-it yourself kind of clean up of the near by bus-stand and changing its look.
Imagine doing this for all inportant national holidays, instead of wasting it.
a few hours of each person will make a major change.
